Companion Care
Companions are tasked to keep the client company at home. Although companions won’t provide hands-on care like bathing, dressing and feeding assistance, they still play a major role. They provide companionship, light housekeeping and respite for the main caregiver. They also offer emotional support and encouragement for the client.
Some of the companion’s duties include:
- Accompanying the client to appointment
- Assistance with Grocery Shopping
- Changing bed linens
- Ironing Clothes
- Laundry
- Meal Preparation
- Mopping
- Performing miscellaneous errands
- Taking care of the client’s pets
- Vacuuming
- Washing Dishes
- Watering plants
For clients who want to enjoy recreational activities, companions can join them like taking walks to the nearby park, playing board games, card games, movie marathons and reading books.
